The St. Louis River estuary is a significant economic, ecological, and historic asset to the Duluth-Superior community. The slips along the Duluth Harbor Basin are at the heart of Duluth's shipping industry and a short walk from the bustle of the downtown waterfront. The project partners recognize that the community will have questions and valuable insight, and are working to include property owners in the decision-making process.
Public Meetings and Events
Stakeholder engagement began in spring of 2017 in an effort to make sure that the outcomes of the projects would benefit current users. By the end of the summer, a plan for remediation was released.
